ISLAMABAD, Jan 24 (APP):Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid Saturday said education is the most powerful force for building a conscious, resilient, and prosperous nation, and the most effective means to eradicate poverty and empower women.
In her special message on the occasion of International Day of Education, Rubina Khalid stressed that investment in education is, in fact, investment in Pakistan’s future. “Only an educated generation can lay the foundation of a self-reliant and developed Pakistan,” she said.
Senator Rubina Khalid highlighted that the government is fully committed to ensuring equal access to education for every child, without discrimination.
She said the Benazir Educational Scholarships Programme stands at the forefront of government initiatives aimed at promoting education and supporting deserving families.
She noted that through Benazir Educational Scholarships, millions of children across the country are continuing their educational journey, enabling them to remain in schools and pursue their dreams.
Emphasizing the importance of girls’ education, the BISP Chairperson said educating girls guarantees a brighter future for Pakistan. “When a girl is educated, entire families and communities progress,” she added.
She said International Day of Education serves as an important reminder to renew the national resolve to promote education and expand opportunities for the younger generation.
She further stated that BISP, through its educational assistance programmes, is empowering deserving families and making education possible for millions of children.
Senator Rubina Khalid concluded by saying that education is the strongest pillar of sustainable development and long-term national prosperity.
