Rising stars of PM Youth Cricket League 2025 set to shine on Islamabad’s biggest youth stage

ISLAMABAD, Dec 09 (APP): The Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and Lahore Qalandars launched the PM Youth Cricket National League 2025 at the Capital Smart City Cricket Ground.

Young players from across Pakistan will compete in the event. The champions will receive caps from the Prime Minister.
The opening ceremony brought together Chairman PMYP Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Naeem Rana, players, and team officials. The launch marked the formal start of a major youth cricket initiative in the country.

Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan said the government remains committed to creating sports opportunities for young people. He said the selected athletes are the country’s future. He added that their presence reflects the trust of national leadership.
He reaffirmed that the league’s champions will be honored by the Prime Minister himself. He said this gesture shows the government’s dedication to recognizing outstanding youth talent.

He also praised the determination of female athletes at the ceremony. He said their participation is a significant step for women in sports. He noted that their resilience continues to inspire many.
During his visit, the Chairman admired the venue’s facilities. He said the stadium matches several he has seen in Australia, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka. He expressed hope that international-standard matches will soon be played here.
He encouraged all players to perform at their best during the league. He said Pakistan’s development is tied to the strength and talent of its youth. He stressed that the government will continue to support young athletes.
