ISLAMABAD, Nov 22 (APP):Riphah International University inaugurated its 20th Convocation at the Islamabad Convention Centre on Saturday, where a total of 2,860 students are set to receive their degrees over the two-day event.
Newly enrolled Palestinian students were also in attendance.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf presided over the ceremony as the chief guest.
Chancellor Hassan Muhammad Khan, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Anis Ahmad, senior faculty members, graduates and parents also participated in the proceedings.
In his address, Prof Dr Anis Ahmad congratulated the graduating students and underscored the university’s growing stature at both national and international levels.
He highlighted Riphah’s student exchange initiatives and reiterated the institution’s focus on ethical values and character-building. “My prayer is that our graduates play an active role in every field of life and continue to make the nation proud,” he said.
Chancellor Hassan Muhammad Khan acknowledged the efforts of the students and the support of their families, remarking that the graduates represented the country’s future and carried the responsibility of contributing to Pakistan’s progress.
Addressing the ceremony, the chief guest lauded the university for producing qualified professionals and expressed hope that the graduates would play a constructive role in society.
He also drew attention to the increasing number of Palestinian students joining the university, terming it a sign of Riphah’s international outreach and recognition.
