ISLAMABAD, Nov 12 (APP):Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith harmony was all set to host its first-ever International Qirat Competition (IQC-2025) from November 24 to 29 in Islamabad, marking a historic milestone in the country’s religious and cultural landscape.
The event will bring together more than 34 Qaris from member countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The competition aims to promote the art of Quranic recitation and strengthen interfaith and intercultural harmony among Muslim nations.
According to the schedule, the Group-1 and Group-2 competitions will take place from November 24 to 27 at the Auditorium of the National University of Modern Languages (NUML). The grand Prize Distribution Ceremony is scheduled for November 29 at the Jinnah Convention Center, where the winners will be honored.
State level personalities were expected to chair inaugural and concluding sessions at the NUML and Jinnah Convention Center in Islamabad.
