ISLAMABAD, Feb 17 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired an Operational Commanders Conference at Safe City Islamabad to review the overall law and order situation and security preparedness for the holy month of Ramazan.
An official told APP on Tuesday that the conference was attended by all Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs), Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs).

The official said the IGP Rizvi conducted a detailed review of security arrangements across the federal capital and issued special directives to ensure enhanced protection of mosques and imambargahs during Ramazan.
He said foolproof security measures have been finalised for the holy month, with additional police deployment planned during Sehri, Iftar, and Taraweeh timings.
The IGP Rizvi directed officers to ensure strict checking at all entry and exit points of the city, while security around important installations, markets, and commercial centres will be further strengthened.
He also emphasized that Safe City cameras will continue effective monitoring across Islamabad, while police patrol and quick response units will remain actively deployed.
The official said the IGP Rizvi issued instructions for the implementation of a special traffic management plan, particularly during peak hours of Sehri and Iftar.
Additional traffic personnel will be deployed on key highways and around mosques and imambargahs to maintain smooth traffic flow and assist citizens.
The IGP Rizvi further directed senior officers to ensure visible field presence and personally supervise security duties.
He reiterated that Islamabad Police remains fully committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and maintaining peace throughout Ramazan.
