Court extends interim bail of Rajab Butt, co-accused till March 12

LAHORE, Mar 06 (APP):A sessions court on Friday extended the interim bail of content creators Rajab Butt, Nadeem Mubarak, alias Nani Wala, and other accused until March 12 in a case related to the alleged promotion of a gambling application.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Mansoor Ahmed Qureshi heard the bail petitions filed by the accused over fears of arrest.
During the hearing, Rajab Butt and other accused appeared in the court and marked their attendance.
However, Nadeem Mubarak did not appear before the court after the expiry of his interim bail. His counsel filed an application seeking a one-time exemption from personal appearance, which the court accepted.
The judge also directed that the case record be produced at the next hearing and instructed the prosecutor to appear before the court on the next date of hearing.
The case against the accused was registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency for allegedly promoting and encouraging a gambling application.
