PTA warns public about phishing attacks

ISLAMABAD, Mar 31 (APP):The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has warned citizens about the growing risk of phishing attacks and fraudulent messages.

In an advisory, the authority urged users to check the authenticity of senders before trusting any message. It advised the public not to click on suspicious links and to report such incidents to the relevant authorities.

The PTA also asked people not to share personal or sensitive information with unknown sources.

It clarified that it never asks for confidential details through phone calls, SMS, or emails, and urged users to stay alert.
