President, PM review national security, regional situation

ISLAMABAD, March 30 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Monday, discussed in detail the overall national security situation.

During a meeting held here, the evolving regional situation and its impacts upon Pakistan were also reviewed, President Secretariat Media Wing said in a press release.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi were present during the meeting.

National Security Adviser Lieutenant General Asim Malik also attended the meeting.

They also held consultations on economic, energy and security challenges while emphasis was laid upon a coordinated national strategy and institutional harmony.
