President felicitates Pak Hockey Team on qualifying for World Cup

ISLAMABAD, March 07 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari, Saturday, congratulated Pakistan Hockey Team on qualifying for the Hockey World Cup after a long gap.

On X account, the president termed it ‘an encouraging sign for the revival of hockey. Sports promote unity, discipline and a healthy society.’

Emphasizing upon the promotion of sports like hockey and football, he opined that these games were cherished by the labour and common classes and should be further promoted in the country, President Secretariat Media Wing said in a press release.
