PM pays tribute to ZAB Shaheed on death anniversary

Prime Minister (PM) Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday paid tribute to former prime minister and founder of the 1973 Constitution, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (ZAB) Shaheed on his death anniversary, acknowledging his significant national, political and constitutional contributions.

LAHORE, Apr 04 (APP): Prime Minister (PM) Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday paid tribute to former prime minister and founder of the 1973 Constitution, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (ZAB) Shaheed on his death anniversary, acknowledging his significant national, political and constitutional contributions.
In his message, the PM said that Bhutto Shaheed rendered invaluable services with sincerity for the country’s development, prosperity and strengthening of defence during his tenure as prime minister.
He highlighted that ZAB Shaheed played a constructive and pivotal role in the preparation and approval of the Constitution of Pakistan 1973, which continues to hold key importance in strengthening the parliamentary system and promoting democracy in the country.
PM Shehbaz Sharif further said that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto made notable efforts to establish a people-centric governance system and worked for resolving the basic issues faced by the public within a democratic framework.
PM said that he also represented Pakistan effectively at the international level.
PM prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the late leader and said that his political services would always be remembered.
