LAHORE,Jan 03 (APP):Prime Minister (PM) Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday congratulated the nation on the successful test of the locally developed Taimur Weapon System conducted by the Pakistan Air Force(PAF).
The PM lauded the Pakistan Air Force(PFA) for achieving the important milestone and termed the successful flight test a major step towards further strengthening the country’s defence capabilities.
He paid rich tribute to the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces,Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu and the scientists and engineers who played a key role in the development of the missile system.
Commending the PAF’s professional competence,dedication and unwavering commitment,the PM Shehbaz Sharif said that the successful test reflects the force’s high level of operational readiness and technological superiority.
The PM noted that the Taimur Weapon System would further enhance Pakistan’s defence and deterrence capabilities.
He added that the successful flight test was a clear manifestation of the technical maturity,innovation and self-reliance of Pakistan’s defence industry.
He further said that such achievements underscore Pakistan Air Force’s continuous efforts to achieve national security objectives and safeguard the country’s sovereignty.
