Pakistan, China to boost digital cooperation

ISLAMABAD, Jul 25 (APP):Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja and Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong have discussed exploring ways to enhance digital cooperation between Pakistan and China.
According to a press release from the IT Ministry, both countries agreed to strengthen their long-term partnership in modern technologies.
Their talks focused on key areas such as smart cities, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and wider technical collaboration.
The Minister shared Pakistan’s plan to use digital tools to grow the economy and improve public services. Ambassador Jiang reaffirmed China’s support for Pakistan’s digital progress through practical cooperation and the sharing of expertise.
The meeting also paved the way for joint projects, skill development, and knowledge sharing in important digital sectors.
Both sides stressed the need to use technology for inclusive development and pledged to continue working together on projects that benefit both nations.
