ISLAMABAD, Mar 8 (APP):Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday expressed commitment to expanding opportunities for women in the country, ensuring their equal access to education and economic participation.
In his message on International Women’s Day, the prime minister vowed creating an environment where every woman could realize her full potential and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s future.
“On International Women’s Day, I pay tribute to the remarkable women of Pakistan – our mothers, daughters, sisters, and wives. Today, we celebrate their strength, resilience, leadership, and the invaluable contributions they make to our families, our communities, and our nation,” he said on X.
The prime minister said across every sphere of our national life including education, healthcare, public service, entrepreneurship, science, arts sports and beyond, the Pakistani women continued to shape the country’s progress with resilience, talent and determination.
“Their achievements inspire our nation and strengthen our collective resolve to build a stronger, more prosperous Pakistan,” he said.
Sharif said the empowerment of women remained central to the government’s vision for the country’s development.
