OGRA refutes reports of LPG price increase

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has clarified that no new notification regarding an increase in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices has been issued, terming claims or rumours about a price hike as incorrect.

ISLAMABAD, Mar 11 (APP):The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has clarified that no new notification regarding an increase in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices has been issued, terming claims or rumours about a price hike as incorrect.
An OGRA spokesperson said that LPG prices are officially notified by the authority once every month, effective from the first day of the month, in accordance with the prescribed pricing mechanism.
The general public has been advised that OGRA’s notified price remains applicable, and consumers should ensure that LPG is being sold in line with the officially notified rates.
In case of overcharging or price manipulation in the market, consumers may report the matter to the local district administration for immediate action and enforcement of the notified price.
The authority reaffirmed its commitment to protecting consumer interests and ensuring transparency and compliance in the LPG market across the country.
