ISLAMABAD, Sep 6 (APP):In connection with Defence Day, the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) here on Thursday observed the “Defence and Martyrs Day” with new zeal and fervor to pay homage to all martyrs.
NUML students and faculty members in six different groups visited six Shuhada’s Graves resting in different areas of Islamabad and Rawalpindi districts, a press release said.
They offered Fateha, laid floral wreath and visited the Shuhda’s homes and spent a day with them to admire the services of the martyrs.
The purpose of this activity was to acknowledge the bravery of the martyrs and to tell the world that youth of Pakistan knows their heroes and admire their services for the motherland. “Humain Pyar Hay Pakistan Se” is the theme of this year’s Defence and Martyrs Day.
It is important to mention that NUML is holding another program on 7th September in which families of martyrs will be invited and NUML will pay rich tribute to them. National songs, documentaries and dramatic performances will be presented.
