NEPRA concludes hearing into FCA for Nov

ISLAMABAD, Jan 01 (APP):The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) concluded a public hearing into a petition filed by the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA-G) on behalf of all power distribution companies (DISCOs) in power decrease under monthly fuel cost adjustment (FCA) for November.
The public hearing was presided over by the Chairman NEPRA and was attended by officials of CPPA-G, representatives of the business community, officials of the Ministry of Energy, journalists and general public, according to a NEPRA statement.
The CPPA-G has sought 72 paisa per unit
reduction in the power tariff for November. If approved, this adjustment will only apply for one month.
The adjustment would be applicable to all DISCOs’ consumers including K-Electric , except lifeline users, protected consumers, prepaid users, and electric vehicle charging stations. The Authority will issue a detailed decision after reviewing all statistics.
