During the briefing, Members of the National Assembly were introduced to NDMA’s Disaster Early Warning and Technology Ecosystem, which includes operational dashboards, digital portals, and real-time monitoring tools fully operational at the NEOC.

Chairman NDMA highlighted that these capabilities are indigenously developed and operationalized, emphasizing anticipatory action, whole-of-government coordination, and readiness measures designed to mitigate evolving disaster risks nationwide.

The delegation received an in-depth demonstration of Lens Pakistan 2026, offering high-resolution disaster forecasts across all provinces and territories to enable precision in resource pre-positioning and response planning. This was followed by insights into the Global Disaster Lens 2026, a cutting-edge tool that monitors international climate and disaster trends in real time, positioning Pakistan as a key data provider for global disaster risk analysis and strengthening the country’s role in international climate diplomacy.

A key highlight of the session was the formal launch of the Global Disaster Early Warning App, a digital platform designed for mass public access, providing citizens with real-time alerts and precautionary guidance.
