Illegal power connections removed during PESCO operation in DIKhan
DERA ISMAIL KHAN , Mar 07 (APP): A combing team of the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) conducted a major operation against electricity theft in several areas of the city under the supervision of SDO PESCO City-II Muhammad Ashraf.
During the operation, teams carried out inspections in Dewala, Madni Town and Basti ustrana Janobi, where a large number of illegal electricity connections (kundas) were removed.
The staff also dismantled multiple PVC cables being used for illegal power supply.
Officials said that following the operation, formal reports were prepared against the individuals involved and forwarded to the concerned police stations for further legal action.
Speaking on the occasion, SDO PESCO City-II Muhammad Ashraf said that operations against electricity theft would continue in the future to curb illegal connections and ensure a fair power distribution system.
