ISLAMABAD, Dec 17 (APP):The Islamabad High Court (IHC)’s Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri Wednesday requested the Chief Justice IHC to form a larger bench to hear the degree dispute case.
The petition said that a full court consisting of all judges except the Chief Justice and transfer judges should hear his case. Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri filed three petitions in the Islamabad High Court in which it has been requested that Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar be removed from the bench, a full court be formed to hear the case and the hearing be adjourned till the decision of the Sindh High Court.
The petition has said that the Chief Justice and other transfer judges should not be included in the full court.
According to the petitioner, he has also filed a complaint against Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar in the Supreme Judicial Council, after which the Chief Justice should excuse himself from hearing the degree case.
The case against Justice Jahangiri is scheduled for hearing tomorrow.
