ISLAMABAD, Feb 12 (APP): The Islamabad High Court (IHC)’s Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfaraz Dogar on Thursday inaugurated gender responsive infrastructure in the Family Courts Complex, Islamabad.
The IHC’s CJ made a visit to the family courts and District Judicial Complex in Islamabad. Justice Muhammad Azam Khan and Justice Raja Inaam Amen Minhas were also with him on the occasion. Upon reaching the judicial complex, District and Sessions Judges Nasir Javed Rana, and Muhammad Yar Gondal and President Islamabad Bar Naeem Ali Gujjar welcomed the Chief Justice.
According to a statement issued by the High Court, during this visit, Chief Justice Sarfaraz Dogar inaugurated gender responsive infrastructure in the Family Courts Complex. Gender responsive infrastructure aims to provide convenience and a conducive environment for women and children.
The Chief Justice also inaugurated a waiting room for female litigants, infant care rooms for mothers with infants, and a mediation room for resolving family disputes. Meanwhile, in the District Courts Complex, the Chief Justice also formally inaugurated a waiting room for female litigants, a water filtration plant, and an e-filing system, according to the statement. E-filing will allow citizens to file their cases without coming to court.
The Chief Justice appreciated the promotion of technology-based reforms by the district judiciary.
