IHC suspends order to stop judicial allowances

ISLAMABAD, Jan 28 (APP):The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday suspended the orders to stop the payment of judicial allowances of special courts, tribunals, and law officers and sought comments from respondents.
The court sought response from the Federation, Ministry of Finance, Controller General of Accounts and the Accountant General of Pakistan within two weeks.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir issued an order of hearing on the petition of the employees. The court suspended the orders of the Accountant General’s Office and the Ministry of Finance to stop the allowances.
The court ruled that the letters of orders dated September 5 and 15, 2025 are suspended.
The written order stated that according to the petitioner’s lawyer, the Ministry of Finance and the Accountant General’s Office have stopped the allowances of the employees. According to the lawyer, the Multan and Bahawalpur benches of the Lahore High Court have already suspended the orders. The next hearing of the case will be on February 9.
