ISLAMABAD, Nov 05 (APP): A Division bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday served notices to respondents in the petition against the session court decision acquitting accused in an abuse case of British citizen.
The division bench comprising Justice Muhammad Azam Khan and Justice Muhammad Asif heard the case.
During the hearing, the petitioner’s lawyer took the position that Sarah Datto was called to Pakistan through the Muslim Match website on the pretext of marriage and then accused Mohsin Ali allegedly molested her.
Justice Muhammad Azam Khan inquired about the nationality of this woman, to which the lawyer said that she was a British citizen.
When Sarah Datto filed the case, he agreed to the marriage, and divorced Sara Datto 3 days after the marriage. It is requested that the case be remanded back to the trial court.
The court issued notices to the parties and sought their response. Accused Mohsin Ali was acquitted by the session court in the molestation case.
