IHC issues order for recovery of missing NCCIA’ officer

ISLAMABAD, Oct 23 (APP):The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday issued a written order on a petition seeking the recovery of missing Deputy Director of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Usman and ordered the recovery of the abductee and the identification of the accused within three days.
Justice Muhammad Azam Khan issued a two-page written order in which the SHO of Shams Colony police station has been directed to submit a report by October 24. The court also sought the call data of the mobile phone of the petitioner Rozina Usman.
The order said that if the abductee is not recovered, the DG NCCIA Central and IG Islamabad will be summoned. The petitioner’s lawyer took the stand that the woman received threatening calls from unknown numbers in which she was pressured to withdraw the petition, while her phone number has been switched off since Saturday night.
The police informed the court that a case of kidnapping of the abductee has been registered and investigation is underway and the SHO assured that they will reach the abductee soon.
The case will be heard further on October 24.
