ISLAMABAD, Jul 30 (APP):The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday extended its stay order against the the implementation of the orders to dismiss employees of the Naya Pakistan Housing Authority (NPHA) under rightsizing until the next hearing.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir heard the petition filed by dismissed employees of the Naya Pakistan Housing Authority, Anis Malik and others.
The petitioners appeared in the court along with their lawyers, while the lawyer of the Naya Pakistan Housing Authority, Ali Nawaz Kharal, also appeared in the court.
During the hearing, the court remarked that the it has suspended tge order, is there any problem? To which the lawyer replied that since the authority was formed, it has no income, the order was issued as per the government policy. The court asked the lawyers that if this is the government policy, why was the federation not made a party? The court directed the lawyers of the petitioners to also make the federation a party in the petition.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir ordered that the stay order will remain in effect, the federation should submit its para-wise comments.
The court directed the Additional Attorney General to submit a response to the court on behalf of the federation. The court adjourned further hearing till September 3.
