IGP Rizvi reviews security, orders police stations upgradation under SIPS

ISLAMABAD, Apr 01 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi  chaired a meeting with senior police officers to review the overall security situation, progress on development projects, and upgradation of police stations under the SIPS protocol.

An official told APP on Wednesday that the IGP conducted a detailed review of ongoing initiatives, including the improvement of police stations under the SIPS framework and other development projects across the district.
He said the progress on the construction of Islamabad Model Jail was also reviewed during the meeting.
The IGP Rizvi issued clear and comprehensive directions to further organize and intensify the ongoing crackdown against criminal elements across the district.
Rizvi emphasized the importance of strengthening institutional capacity, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring effective policing through modern standards.
He said maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of citizens remained the top priority of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police.
The IGP Rizvi reiterated that all available resources would be utilized to improve security arrangements and accelerate development projects in the federal capital.
