IGP Rizvi, Chief Commissioner finalize Eid security, traffic plan for Islamabad

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa, along with senior officers of Islamabad Police and district administration, held a high-level meeting to finalize arrangements for Eid-ul-Fitr.

ISLAMABAD, Mar 19 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa, along with senior officers of Islamabad Police and district administration, held a high-level meeting to finalize arrangements for Eid-ul-Fitr.

An official told APP on Thursday that a comprehensive strategy was finalized to ensure security arrangements, traffic management and facilitation of citizens during Eid days.
He said that under the plan, only families would be allowed entry into family parks, while senior officers of Islamabad Police and district administration would remain present in the field to facilitate citizens.
The official added that a well-organized traffic plan would be implemented to ensure smooth flow of traffic across the city.
IGP Rizvi directed that effective security arrangements and proper traffic management be ensured during Eid congregations, adding that all available resources would be utilized to provide a safe and peaceful environment to citizens.
He reiterated that ensuring public safety and convenience remains the top priority of Islamabad Police and the district administration.
