ISLAMABAD, Apr 04 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired a detailed operational commanders’ conference to review overall police performance, security measures, use of technology, and ongoing public facilitation projects.
An official told APP on Saturday that all DIGs, AIGs and SSPs presented performance reports of their respective divisions and briefed the IGP on operational progress.
 IGP Rizvi conducted a comprehensive review of security arrangements and directed officers to prioritize public service and effective enforcement of law.
 Rizvi emphasized that projects aimed at facilitating citizens should be completed at the earliest.
He said Islamabad Police had successfully resolved serious crimes with 100 percent success, adding that the 63 percent reduction in crime rate reflected the tireless efforts of the force.
The IGP Rizvi directed all officers to further integrate artificial intelligence and IT innovations into policing to enhance crime prevention and bring criminals to justice.
He also instructed that Safe City Islamabad technology projects for public facilitation be completed on priority.
 Rizvi directed expansion of the “Nasha Ab Nahi” campaign across the federal capital to curb drug-related activities.
He emphasized providing maximum online facilities to citizens and improving training standards to further enhance the capacity of police officers.
The IGP said the ultimate goal was to make Islamabad one of the safest cities in the world, adding that officers must ensure better coordination with their subordinate teams.
He further directed commanders to maintain strict departmental accountability while also focusing on the welfare of police personnel and ensuring regular briefings of their teams.
Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police reiterated its commitment to modern, technology-driven policing and improved public service delivery across the federal capital.
