IGP Rizvi celebrates Eid with families of martyrs, pays tribute to their sacrifices

ISLAMABAD, Mar 21 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr with the families of martyrs, expressing solidarity and paying tribute to their sacrifices.

A public relations officer told APP on Saturday that a large Eid congregation was held at the Police Lines
Headquarters mosque, where the IGP, senior officers and police personnel offered Eid prayers.
IGP Rizvi extended Eid greetings to police officials and embraced them on the occasion. After Eid prayers,
Rizvi visited the martyrs’ memorial, laid a floral wreath and offered Fateha.
The IGP Rizvi also spent time with the children of martyrs, warmly interacting with them and sharing Eid greetings. He
said families of martyrs were like his own family and assured that their children would never be left alone.
Rizvi said the sacrifices of martyrs had made it possible for the nation to celebrate Eid in peace. The official added that a draw for Umrah was also held after Eid prayers, and the selected individual would be sent to perform Umrah.
The IGP Rizvi reiterated that Islamabad Police remained committed to honoring its martyrs and supporting their families at all times.
