ICT Police showcases smart policing technology at DataFest 2025

ISLAMABAD, Nov 12 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police participated in DataFest 2025 held at the Pak-China Friendship Centre, showcasing its latest technology-driven policing initiatives including drone surveillance and smart monitoring tools aimed at enhancing public safety and operational efficiency.
An official told APP on Wednesday that the event, organized to promote knowledge sharing and digital innovation, provided a unique platform for institutions to display their data-based advancements and emerging tech solutions.
The ICT Police stall drew wide attention from participants for its live demonstration of Drone Surveillance, Integrated Safe City Operations, and Artificial Intelligence-enabled monitoring systems used in law enforcement across the capital.
Director General (DG) Safe City, Muhammad Haroon Joya, visited the Islamabad Police pavilion and appreciated the department’s continued commitment to innovation and modern policing.
He lauded the team’s efforts in applying data analytics, smart cameras, and real-time tracking to improve urban safety and ensure swift emergency response.
A representative of the ICT Police said that technology is now at the heart of policing.
“Our mission is to make Islamabad a digitally secure city. Initiatives like smart cameras, drone operations, and integrated command systems are helping us achieve that goal,” he added.
The participation of Islamabad Police in DataFest 2025 reflects its evolving role as a leading law enforcement agency embracing digital transformation to ensure safer, smarter, and citizen-friendly policing in the federal capital.
