Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police conducted grand combing and search operations in various areas of the federal capital against criminal elements and illegal residents, checking 670 individuals, 258 households and dozens of vehicles during the drive.

ISLAMABAD, Mar 08 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police conducted grand combing and search operations in various areas of the federal capital against criminal elements and illegal residents, checking 670 individuals, 258 households and dozens of vehicles during the drive.
An official told APP on Sunday that the operations were conducted under the supervision of zonal SPs in the areas of Lohi Bher, Ramna, Aabpara, Koral, Shahzad Town, Noon and Sumbal police stations.
He said lady police officials also participated in the search operations.
During the operations, police teams checked 55 shops and 22 hotels as part of efforts to ensure law and order in the area.
The official said 229 motorcycles and 82 vehicles were also inspected during the operations.
He said 32 suspected individuals and 31 motorcycles were shifted to the respective police stations for further verification.
The official said the grand search operations were conducted on the special directions of the IGP Islamabad to curb criminal activities and ensure the protection of citizens.
He urged citizens to cooperate with police during checking and immediately report any suspicious activity.
He added that Islamabad Police were utilizing all available resources to ensure the safety of citizens and maintain peace in the federal capital.
