Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police made arrests in connection with suspected vice-related offenses, apprehending seven individuals during a targeted crackdown in the federal capital and sealing four premises linked to the illegal activities.

ISLAMABAD, Mar 26 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police made arrests in connection with suspected vice-related offenses, apprehending seven individuals during a targeted crackdown in the federal capital and sealing four premises linked to the illegal activities.
An official told APP on Thursday that the operation was conducted on the basis of credible intelligence in the jurisdiction of Sumbal Police Station under the supervision of senior police officers.
He said a special police team, led by the Station House Officer (SHO), carried out simultaneous raids at multiple locations and successfully busted four premises involved in illicit activities, which were sealed to prevent further unlawful operations.
He said the apprehended individuals, including three men and four women, were shifted to the police station for further investigation.
The official said initial investigation suggested that the premises had been operating covertly for a considerable period, while indications of an organised network had also surfaced.
He said the crackdown was carried out on the directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, as part of ongoing efforts to curb illegal activities and ensure law and order in the federal capital.
He added that raids were being conducted to apprehend other members of the network and further arrests were expected.
The official urged citizens to report any suspicious activity in their surroundings to the police immediately so that such unlawful practices could be eliminated from society.
