In his message, the Chairman of the Senate stated that Easter is a profound symbol of hope, renewal, and spiritual reflection for the Christian community.
He added that the occasion is marked by special prayers and religious gatherings, which not only strengthen faith but also promote the universal values of love, tolerance, and brotherhood.
Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani urged the Christian community to offer special prayers for the peace, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan.
He emphasised that such occasions serve as an opportunity to foster interfaith harmony and to spread the message of unity, compassion, and coexistence in society.
The Chairman of the Senate reaffirmed that minorities in Pakistan enjoy full religious freedom and are free to practice their faith and perform their religious rituals without any hindrance.
He highlighted that the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees equal rights to all citizens, including minorities, and that significant legislative measures have been taken to safeguard their rights.
He further stated that the Pakistan Peoples Party has always played a pivotal role in advocating for the rights of minorities and ensuring that their voices are effectively represented.
 Parliamentary committees are actively working to address issues faced by minority communities in a meaningful and constructive manner.
The Chairman Senate once again extended his warm Easter greetings to the Christian community worldwide and expressed his sincere wishes for their peace, happiness, and continued well-being.
