G-8 operation: 6 showrooms sealed, notices issued over illegal car parking

ISLAMABAD, Apr 01 (APP):The district administration of Islamabad on Wednesday carried out an operation in Sector G-8 against illegal parking by showroom owners.

During the action, six showrooms were sealed while several others were issued final warning notices. The move aims to clear public spaces, reduce inconvenience for pedestrians, and ensure smooth traffic flow in the area.

According to officials, some showroom owners had been using roadsides and footpaths to park vehicles for sale. This practice caused obstruction for people walking in the area and created traffic issues on busy roads. Despite earlier instructions, the violations continued, leading the administration to take strict action.

Teams from the district administration visited different parts of Sector G-8 and inspected multiple showrooms. Six outlets found in clear violation were sealed on the spot. Authorities also served final notices to other showroom owners, directing them to remove parked vehicles from public areas immediately.

Officials stated that the operation is part of a wider effort to enforce regulations related to public spaces and road usage.

They added that action will continue if violations persist, and more showrooms may face sealing or legal steps.

The district administration has urged showroom owners to comply with the rules and arrange proper parking within their premises to avoid further action.
