Fire drill, mock emergency excercises conducted in IHC

ISLAMABAD, Apr 02 (APP):A fire drill and mock emergency exercise was organized in Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday to prepare for natural disasters and potential security threats.
During the exercise, announcements were made through megaphones simulating an emergency situation. Upon hearing the alerts, judges, officials, lawyers, litigants, and members of the public began an immediate evacuation process.
Everyone present was directed to exit the building through designated emergency routes and assemble at safe points. Participants were instructed to remain at these locations until further directions from the safety team, and the use of elevators was strictly prohibited during the drill.
Court staff assisted litigants and persons with disabilities in safely evacuating the premises. The drill was monitored by fire safety teams, emergency response units, and the Islamabad Police. No one was allowed to re-enter the building until an official “all clear” announcement was made.
