ISLAMABAD, Dec 26 (APP):The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has signed an agreement with a consortium of relevant firms for the provision of regular professional counselling services.
This initiative aims  to provide structured career counselling and guidance to students from Class 8th to BS level, helping them to identify their strengths, interests, and suitable career pathways through psychometric tools and individualized support, said a press release on Friday.
The program will also enhance students’ awareness of higher education options, scholarships, as well as vocational and technical career opportunities, enabling informed academic and career decisions while contributing to reduced dropout and disengagement rates.
In addition, the project will also establish a sustainable data system to track student career preferences and outcomes, supporting evidence-based planning and policy making.
The services will be delivered over a two-year period, during which the consortium will also train a group of FDE Master Trainers to ensure continuity and sustainability of the career counselling program beyond the life of the project.
