ISLAMABAD, Dec 19 (APP):The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued a final reminder to parliamentarians to submit their annual Statements of Assets and Liabilities for the 2024-25 financial year by December 31.
An ECP spokesperson stressed that lawmakers are required under Section 137 of the Elections Act, 2017, to file Form-B, declaring the assets and liabilities of themselves, their spouses, and dependent children as of June 30.
The commission warned that the names of defaulters will be published on January 1, and non-compliant legislators will face suspension from January 16. It further cautioned that submitting materially false information could lead to prosecution for corrupt practice within 120 days of filing.
Form-B is available at the ECP Secretariat in Islamabad, provincial offices, parliamentary secretariats, and can also be downloaded from the commission’s website www.ecp.gov.pk.
