ISLAMABAD, May 30 (APP): The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has barred all political rallies, processions and corner meetings in PP-52 Sialkot after midnight on Friday, (May 30) in line with Section 182 of the Elections Act 2017 with the by-election
set for June 1.
The Election Commission has warned that violators of Section 182 of the Elections Act 2017 will face legal action.
After the midnight deadline on Friday, May 30, all political campaigning —including ads, promotional content, and any
material supporting or opposing candidates — is banned across electronic and print media.
The ECP has directed media outlets to begin broadcasting election results one hour after polls close, clearly labeling them as unofficial and preliminary.
