RAWALPINDI, Apr 01 (APP): Former Punjab Health and Population Welfare Minister, Dr. Jamal Nasir said that national unity is Pakistan’s most pressing need and urged citizens to rise above sectarian and religious divides to strengthen the nation.

He made the remarks while inaugurating a calligraphy exhibition at Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi, featuring the works of Ashknaz Asif Khan, Principal of Sarpt Bible Seminary. The event drew artists and art enthusiasts from across the city.

Dr. Nasir emphasized that internal stability and solidarity are essential as external forces seek to weaken the country. He stressed that fostering brotherhood, hard work and unity is crucial and that striving to be a good human forms the foundation of societal progress.

Director Arts Council Shakoor Ahmed and other speakers, including Ashknaz Asif Khan and social-political leader Wazil Gul, highlighted the importance of promoting fine arts.
