DPM Dar, Uzbek FM discuss regional developments

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (DPM/FM), Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday held a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, and reviewed recent regional developments and agreed to maintain close contact on matters of mutual interest.

ISLAMABAD, Apr 2 (APP):Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (DPM/FM), Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday held a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, and reviewed recent regional developments and agreed to maintain close contact on matters of mutual interest.
During the call, Foreign Minister Saidov commended Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace, stability, and de-escalation.
He also appreciated Pakistan’s hosting of a recent meeting of four foreign ministers in Islamabad, a DPM Office’s news release said.
Saidov expressed support for the Pakistan-China Five-Point Initiative aimed at fostering peace and stability in the Gulf and Middle East.
