ISLAMABAD, Jun 06 (APP): Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Muhammad Jawad Tariq on Friday visited the Faisal Mosque during the Friday prayer along with Chief Traffic Officer Captain (R) Zeeshan Haider and SSP Operations Muhammad Shoaib Khan to inspect the security arrangements.
An official told APP that more than 300 police officers were deployed to ensure the security of worshippers during the Friday congregation.
DIG Tariq said that all officers on duty were alert and fully engaged in safeguarding the lives of citizens.
DIG Tariq said that the police officers performing alert duty were appreciated for their dedication and commitment.
DIG Tariq said that Islamabad Police is always present to fulfill its responsibilities and respond promptly to every call for assistance from the public.
DIG Tariq said that all officers must remain present in the field during Friday prayers and added that no negligence in duty would be tolerated
