ISLAMABAD, Mar 06 (APP):Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Security Islamabad Muhammad Atiq Tahir visited the Red Zone and Diplomatic Enclave to review security arrangements and check the deployment of police officers.
An official told APP on Friday that the DIG Atiq inspected various security points and met officers and personnel performing duties at sensitive locations.
DIG Atiq Tahir briefed the deployed officers regarding their responsibilities and directed them to remain vigilant while ensuring effective checking and security at all entry and exit points.
The official said a special contingent of women police officers was also deployed at the security points to assist in checking and maintaining security arrangements.
DIG Atiq Tahir emphasized that strict security measures must be ensured to safeguard important installations and maintain law and order in the high-security zone.
He said ICT Police remain fully committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and ensuring a secure environment in the federal capital.
