Deputy Chairman refers five private Bills to relevant Senate committees

ISLAMABAD, May 14 (APP):Deputy Chairman Senate Saleem Mandviwala
Monday referred five bills to relevant Standing Committees of the Upper House of
the Parliament for further consideration and perusal.
The bills included a private bill titled The
Constitution Amendment Bill, 2018 to Senate Standing Committee on Law and
Justice.
The Bill was moved by Senator Muhammad
Ali Saif suggesting amendments in the Constitution of the Islamic
Republic of Pakistan. (The Constitution Amendment Bill,2018).
Deputy Chairman also referred another
Bill to provide for the safety and standards of food and for establishment of
the Islamabad Pure Food Authority (The Islamabad Pure Food Authority Bill, 2018).
The Bill was moved by Senator Azam Khan Swati.
Another bill to provide compulsory blood
test for relatives of thalassemia patients (The Compulsory Blood Test of the
Relatives of Thalassemia Patient Bill, 2017), as passed by the National
Assembly was referred to concerned Standing Committee of Senate.The bill was
moved by Senator Azam Khan Swati.
Deputy Chairman Senate referred another
bill further to amend the Pakistan Penal Code, 1860 and the Code of Criminal
Procedure, 1898, The Criminal Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2018, (Substitution of
section 489 F of PPC and schedule II of Cr. PC), as passed by the National
Assembly. The bill was moved by Senator Muhammad Azam Khan Swati.
Deputy Chairman referred another bill to
provide for establishment of Pakistan Courier and Logistic Authority (The
Pakistan Courier and Logistics Regulatory Authority Bill, 2018), as passed by
the National Assembly. The Bill was moved by Senator Muhammad Azam Khan Swati.
