ISLAMABAD, Oct 29 (APP):Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Wednesday emphasized the need to make the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) a model of transparency and dignity in public welfare, ensuring that financial aid reaches deserving citizens without compromising their self-respect.
He expressed these views during a meeting with BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid at Zardari House, Islamabad.
The two discussed key reforms to strengthen the payment system and reviewed progress on the Benazir Hunarmand (Skill Development) Programme.
Chairman Bilawal directed that the disbursement system be made more efficient and transparent to guarantee fair access to all beneficiaries, while Senator Rubina Khalid assured that further improvements would soon be implemented to enhance transparency and delivery under BISP.
