Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Tuesday met with Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja to discuss initiatives aimed at advancing Pakistan’s digital landscape.

ISLAMABAD, Mar 25 (APP): Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Tuesday met with Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja to discuss initiatives aimed at advancing Pakistan’s digital landscape.
The meeting was also attended by the Federal IT Secretary and Chairman of the Pakistan Digital Authority, Dr. Muhammad Sohail.
Shaza Fatima Khawaja highlighted the growing significance of information technology in the modern era, emphasising the government’s commitment to transitioning toward a digital economy.
She stressed that a secure digital Pakistan remains a top priority and underscored the critical role of artificial intelligence as a tool for national progress.
“The Prime Minister is personally overseeing the implementation of a cashless economy,” she noted, adding that Pakistan is steadily moving toward becoming a digital nation in line with his vision.
Referring to national cybersecurity efforts, she said, “Last year we faced an adversary many times bigger than us, and cybersecurity played a crucial role in securing our victory.”
She also highlighted government programs to train youth in artificial intelligence, preparing them for future opportunities in the digital economy.
