ISLAMABAD, Oct 21 (APP):The Ministry of Human Rights, in collaboration with the National Information Technology Board (NITB), has launched the Awaz App to strengthen mechanisms for protecting children and ensuring timely reporting of human rights violations across Pakistan.
The innovative mobile application enables citizens to instantly report cases of missing or abducted children as well as other human rights abuses. Upon receiving a report, the system automatically alerts concerned law enforcement agencies and coordinates with relevant departments and community organizations to ensure swift action and recovery efforts.
According to the Ministry, the Awaz App aims to create a secure and responsive platform that bridges the gap between citizens and authorities, promoting transparency and accountability in handling sensitive cases. The information shared through the app is also disseminated across media and social networks to enhance public awareness and participation in locating missing children.
Currently, the Awaz App is available for Android users, while an iOS version is expected to be launched soon.
The initiative marks a major step toward protecting vulnerable groups, particularly children, and reflects the government’s continued commitment to upholding human rights and improving the accessibility of justice in Pakistan.
