ISLAMABAD, Oct 31 (APP): An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Friday issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for MNA Zain Qureshi in the case registered over the Sangjani protest and has started the process of declaring Omar Ayub and Zartaj Gul as absconders.
ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sapra heard the case. During the hearing, PTI leader Ali Bukhari filed a petition for exemption from attendance, which the court accepted. The court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Zain Qureshi for his continuous non-appearance despite summons.
The court also initiated adjournment proceedings against Omar Ayub and Zartaj Gul for their continued non-appearance. A case has been registered against the PTI leaders at Sangjani police station under terrorism provisions.
