ISLAMABAD, Sep 4 (APP):Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf’s (PTI) candidate Dr Arif-ur-Rehman Alivi Tuesday got 212 votes from the Parliament in the presidential election while Maulana Fazlur Rehman of joint opposition got 131 votes and Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians 81 votes.
Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Anwer Kasi, who was the presiding officer, announced the election result. Six votes were rejected.
The presiding officer said total 430 votes were polled.
