Aleem Khan attends funeral of Motorway Police martyrs

ISLAMABAD, Nov 17 (APP): Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan on Monday attended the funeral prayers of three Motorway Police officers who were martyred in a tragic accident on the M-5 Motorway near Uch Sharif.
The funeral, held at Multan Police Lines, was offered with full official honours, said a press release.

Sub-Inspector Muhammad Mushtaq, Assistant Sub-Inspector Nasir Abbas and Constable Usama Ali lost their lives when a speeding passenger bus struck their patrolling vehicle early in the morning.
Expressing profound grief over the loss of the brave officers, the Minister conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. He said the martyred officers fulfilled their duties with exceptional courage and professionalism, setting a high standard of service for the nation.

Abdul Aleem Khan affirmed that the Motorway Police Department would stand firmly with the families of the Martyrs and continue to support them in every possible way. He also instructed for a comprehensive inquiry into the tragic accident and emphasized that all aspects would be reviewed thoroughly to prevent such incidents in the future.
Aleem Khan added that the Ministry of Communications is committed to take more effective measures to ensure the safety of life and property on national Highways and Motorways.
The funeral prayers were attended by the IG Motorways RPO Multan, Commissioner Multan, Deputy Commissioner and senior officers of the local administration along with a large number of officials and citizens.
The families of the martyrs conveyed their gratitude and expressed appreciation for the Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan’s presence and surety of continued assistance.
