ISLAMABAD, Mar 26 (APP): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police conducted grand combing and search operations, checking 328 individuals in various areas of the federal capital as part of an ongoing crackdown against criminal elements and illegal residents.
An official told APP on Thursday that the operations were carried out in the jurisdictions of Golra, Lohi Bher, Humak, Kirpa, Phulgran, Aabpara and Ramna police stations under the supervision of zonal Superintendents of Police.

He said that lady police officials also took part in the search operations to ensure effective checking.
He said during the operations, 328 individuals and 175 households were checked, while 43 shops were also inspected.

He added that 210 motorcycles and 77 vehicles were checked during the drive, while 34 suspicious individuals, 12 motorcycles and one vehicle were shifted to relevant police stations for further verification.

The official said the operations were conducted on the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to eliminate crime and ensure the safety of citizens across the district.
He urged citizens to cooperate with police during checking and immediately report any suspicious activity.
