ISLAMABAD, Apr 01 (APP):The district administration carried out an operation in Zone 3 and demolished 3 illegal structures, including 2 under-construction houses and 1 farmhouse.

The action was taken under an anti-encroachment drive, with officials stating that construction in the area is not allowed under zoning rules.

According to details, the operation was led by Assistant Commissioner (Saddar) Yasir Nazeer in the Shah Allah Ditta area. Teams from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) enforcement wing and police personnel also took part in the operation to ensure its implementation.

Officials said that the buildings were under construction and did not comply with the rules set for Zone 3. Before the operation, multiple notices were issued to the owners of the structures, asking them to stop construction activities and follow the regulations. However, the instructions were not followed, which led to the demolition.

During the operation, heavy machinery was used to remove the structures. Authorities confirmed that the process was carried out in line with legal procedures. The administration said such actions are part of a wider campaign against illegal construction and encroachments in different parts of the federal capital.

Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Irfan Memon, said that a complete ban on construction in Zone 3 is in place under zoning regulations. He added that the restrictions aim to protect the designated area and ensure planned development according to the approved rules.

He further said that any violation of the ban would result in legal action. The administration has directed all concerned departments to monitor the area and report any new construction activity.

Officials also urged residents and landowners to follow the rules and avoid starting any construction work in restricted zones. The administration said that operations will continue in the coming days to remove illegal structures and ensure compliance with zoning laws.
